Apple To Cease Production Of iPhone 5C In 2015

According to a report by MacRumors, it is being claimed that Apple will soon stop the production ad selling of their entry-level iPhone 5C

This is due to the fact that this iPhone model did not do vey well with the Apple fans and also because the newer iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models seem to be more welcomed by them.

It is also believed, that the iPhone 5S that was launched along with the 5C did considerably better than this model and sold at the ratio of 3:1 in the United Kingdom.

According to analysts, the two new Apple iPhones will see a sale of 57 million by the end of 2015. Thus it is only logical that Apple cut out the models that have underperformed and concentrate more on producing the high demand ones.

Apple's iPhone 6 is even anticipated to overtake the larger iPhone 6 Plus by 2015.

"We think more consumers will prefer iPhone 6 as they can operate the handset with one hand. Eventually, iPhone 6 shipments will outperform those of the iPhone 6 Plus model," said an analyst to MacRumors.

Another fact supporting these reports and rumors is that most of the leading carriers in the US like AT&T, Verizon and Sprint are now offering the 8 GB variant of the iPhone 5C at $0.

However, customers will have to get a two-year contract to get this pricing.
